Chinese New Year's Eve, also known as Chuxi, is the most important traditional festival in China. It marks the end of the lunar year and is a time for family reunions and celebrations.
On this day, every family clean their homes and paste the Spring Festival couplets on their doors to sweep away bad luck and make way for good fortune. Families gather for a grand reunion dinner, with special dishes that symbolize good luck and prosperity. People also stay up late or all night on New Year's Eve. After the great dinner, families sit together and chat happily to wait for the New Year’s arrival.
